Follow the FAQ’s below in the event that you have any questions about the services provided by Dulce Alterations.

What type of clothing do you alter?
Dulce specializes in  bridal gowns, prom dresses and special occasion dresses including debutante and pageant gowns.

Is there a charge for a consultation?
No, the consultation is free of charge.

When should I schedule my first fitting?

Wedding Gowns require 4-10 weeks depending complexity and amount of work needed.

Prom/Other Special Event 2-4 weeks is required to complete alteration process.

What is a first fitting?

At the first fitting a specialist provides a consultation, we gather information such as event date and details to determine timing and begin first fitting process.

We will proceed to pin dress and take key measurements for needed alterations including sizing and hem.

Lastly, a checkout process will follow including payment options, setting up a date and time for a second fitting and answering any additional questions you may have.

What are my payment options?
Dulce takes all major credit cards or cash as payment, sorry we do not accept checks.

When do I pay for alterations?
Full payment is due at first fitting, no exceptions.  

What is done at the second fitting?

At the second fitting, completed alterations from measurements taken at first fitting will be reviewed in detail including sizing and hem.

Specialists will go over all the work and decide if  follow up  fittings is necessary.

What if I need more alterations after my Final Fitting?

We understand some last minute alterations might be needed for different reasons.

Please be advised Dulce Alterations needs a minimum of 2 weeks before the Event Date  to work on your dress. We advice ALL Brides to try dress on 2 weeks before the Wedding  and call to set an appointment if any additional work is needed.

I take clothing previously altered by Dulce Alterations to another alterations business, can I get a refund?
No, if you take the clothing to a third party, Dulce Alterations charges cannot be refunded.

Do you offer refunds?
Dulce Alterations has a NO REFUND policy, please review all fees and services at time of payment.

We want all of our customers to be satisfied with services provided. During your fittings please assure the specialist has explained and  reviewed all alterations , don’t forget to ask about press/ steam, dry cleaning and preservation services.
