Follow the FAQ’s below in the event that you have any questions about the services provided by Dulce Alterations.

What should I bring to my 1st Fitting?

We require customers to bring shoes and any type of undergarments.

What type of clothing do you alter?

Dulce specializes in bridal gowns only.

Do you provide custom work?

No, we only provide standard wedding gown alterations.

Is there a charge for a consultation?

No, the consultation is free of charge.

Is there a difference between a free consultation an a 1st fitting?

Yes! a free consultation will determine if the alterations requests from our Customer are within the scope of our services, A first fitting only happens after we determine what needs to be done to the dress. 

If during the consultation we determined that the alterations requested are outside our availability than we will only provide a professional consultation.

When should I schedule my first fitting?

We recommend to get a a consultation as soon you get the dress from the boutique/bridal shop.

Wedding Gowns can take between  3-8 weeks depending on complexity of the dress , amount of work and scheduling availability.

What is a first fitting?

At the first fitting we will proceed to pin dress and take key measurements for needed alterations including sizing, hem, bustles and more.

At the end of 1st fitting check out, we will collect full payment for alterations, set up a date and time for a second fitting also answering any additional questions you may have.

What are my payment options?

Dulce takes all major credit cards or cash as payment, sorry we do not accept checks.

When do I pay for alterations?

Full payment is due at first fitting, no exceptions.  

What is done at the second fitting?

At the second fitting, completed alterations from measurements taken at first fitting will be reviewed in detail from sizing to hem.

Our Specialist will go over all the work and decide if  follow up fitting is necessary.

What if I need more alterations after my Final Fitting?

We understand some last minute alterations might be needed for different reasons.

Please be advised Dulce Alterations needs a minimum of 2 weeks before the Event Date  to work on your dress. We advise All Brides to try on the dress at home  2 weeks before the Wedding  and call us to set an appointment if any additional work is needed.

What if I take my Gown previously altered by Dulce Alterations to another alterations business, will Dulce Alterations be able to make more adjustments?

No, if you take your Gown to a third party alterations, Dulce Alterations will no longer be responsible nor able to make any type of adjustments or future alterations due to tampering of the dress.

Do you offer refunds?

Dulce Alterations has a NO REFUND policy, please review all fees and services at time of Signing Consent form for services and payment.
